  • What does a typical working day look like?

"As an account manager, no two days are the same. It is often a mix of communication, planning, preparation for client meetings, and spontaneous interactions. My day can vary enormously, depending on the needs of my clients and the unexpected calls or emails that come in. You can count on it that once you have built a good relationship with a client, they will know how to find you. And that’s how it should be! I continuously monitor all communication channels to respond quickly. This dynamic aspect makes the job challenging but also incredibly interesting. It is a role where you really need to be flexible and available, even outside of regular working hours.

I am essentially a SPOC, both internally for colleagues and for the client. My job is a mix of relationship management and sales, which makes the task spectrum very diverse. My main aim is to ensure that clients are satisfied, that we build lasting relationships, that issues are resolved, and that there is good communication between our clients and other stakeholders within a project. In addition, I try to identify opportunities and advise clients on how we can further optimise their operations together.”

  • How do you prefer to collaborate?

"Collaboration is central to my role at Anchr. I am just one piece of the puzzle needed to strengthen client relationships. While I am in direct contact with the client, it is the internal collaboration that ensures we can deliver on what we promised. Every colleague has their own expertise, and together we ensure that our solutions and services remain the best choice for our clients. Effectively collaborating with my colleagues, both in person through face-to-face meetings or via platforms like Microsoft Teams, is essential to successfully lead our projects. I make a lot of calls. This way, you can respond quickly: you can coordinate well, provide feedback, and adjust where necessary.”

Collaborating, both internally with colleagues and externally with clients, gives me a tremendous boost! It is fantastic to see how, by pooling our strengths, we not only build strong relationships but also achieve successes together. That dynamic, that energy of doing things together, that's what it's all about!

  • How do you deal with challenges?

"I tackle challenges head-on, taking the proverbial bull by the horns. Communication is crucial here; I pick up the phone or schedule a meeting to discuss the issue. By being proactive and not waiting, I ensure that no challenge becomes too big. It’s important to act quickly, as speed is essential in our industry. If necessary, I also consult with colleagues. It's a must to act as quickly as possible."

  • What makes you happy in your work at Anchr?

"I am extremely happy with good collaboration, both inside and outside of work. Every collaboration that leads to success, no matter how small or large, brings me immense joy. Respect for one another and seeing growth and success in others is equally important to me. We celebrate each other's successes, making my work very enjoyable."

  • What opportunities do you see?

"There are many opportunities in guiding our clients in transitioning from old technologies to modern, more advanced solutions. Such migration projects present both challenges and opportunities. Personally, I see this as a chance to further develop my career while simultaneously adding significant value for our clients."

  • What is your best moment at Anchr?

"Recently, I had a wonderful evening with clients and colleagues. Moments like that always stay with me! We had dinner with our client Fednav. We started the evening with a drink on a terrace in Antwerp, followed by dinner and then a visit to a cocktail bar. It was a great mix of business and personal conversations, during which the client expressed their appreciation for our approach. These moments strengthen the bond with both colleagues and clients and are incredibly valuable to me."

  • Why did you choose Anchr and why is it an interesting workplace?

"The core values of Anchr really appealed to me. The combination of a wide range of services, both in infrastructure and software, along with the professional, pleasant collaboration with colleagues makes Anchr an ideal workplace for me. As an account manager, it is very important to collaborate well with your colleagues to support clients as effectively as possible. I feel that I can use and develop my skills while working on projects that truly make an impact."
