Intratuin successfully moves its store automation to the cloud

Intratuin successfully migrates its store automation to the cloud
Intratuin has optimised its store automation with the Anchr Retail Cloud Suite. Thanks to the migration to the cloud, Intratuin stores benefit from continuous uptime, improved security, and flexibility.

Standardisation for Intratuin

Intratuin, the retail formula for garden, home and animal, has 65 stores, of which 52 in the Netherlands, 3 in Belgium, and 10 in Germany.

Since March 1, 2022, employees of the Intratuin locations in the Netherlands and Belgium have been working with Anchr's Retail Cloud Suite store automation from the cloud.  ‘This is fully in line with our strategy to further professionalise and take more solutions from the cloud,’ explains Marco van Putten, IT Manager at Intratuin.

Easy checkout with Retail Cloud Suite

Thanks to the use of Anchr's Retail Cloud Suite, Intratuin employees can quickly check out via the Retail Cloud Suite tills. Intratuin decided in 2020 to migrate to the Everest version of the Anchr Retail platform in order to fully utilise the extensive standard functionalities.

‘We are very pleased that we can serve Intratuin from our cloud. We are already doing this for a number of other retail clients such as Intergamma, Lagardère Travel Retail, ANWB and NS Stations. We see that we can maximise our services there,’ says Luc Vlaeminckx, ICT Solution Architect at AXI. ‘Moreover, all our procedures and certifications, such as ISAE 3402 and ISO 27001, are based on this offering.’

With the Anchr Retail Cloud Suite from the cloud, Intratuin benefits from continuous uptime in a highly secure environment.

Marco Van Putten continues: 'We are being relieved of burdens, which is exactly what we want. This allows us to focus on the business. We also enjoy more flexibility now, as we can scale up or down when necessary.'

Smooth migration to the cloud for Intratuin

The stores experienced no disruption during the migration to the cloud. This is of course thanks to the careful preparation that preceded the migration. There was intensive collaboration between the project team of Intratuin and the technical engineers of AXI and Anchr, both on the software development side and from infra support.

All the groundwork really paid off: during the weekend of the migration, everything went very smoothly, as it should.

The migration project was completed neatly before the peak season of spring.

''The Intratuin users we speak to indicate that the entire system is faster than before, enabling employees to perform their tasks much more smoothly,'', adds Eric Damstra.  His team was responsible for this project. ''We consciously transitioned as-is to minimise risks. From now on, we can focus on optimisation.''

From the perspective of the shops, the migration to the cloud is a significant step. Our Microsoft 365 environment and our accounting package were already available from the cloud, and now our mission-critical Retail Cloud Suite from Anchr has been added, which guarantees the complete management of the Intratuin store process.
