The Velvet Masquerade: kicking off the year together in style

Last Friday, 23 January, we kicked off the new year with a celebration at Theadrôme in Wilrijk. And not just with a drink and a dance, but in true premiere style: The Velvet Masquerade.

An evening like a premiere: New Year's Party 2026

Masked, in velvet, and in style

From 6:30 pm, colleagues started arriving in an enchanting setting where you couldn't help but walk a bit straighter. Velvet details, stylish masks, glitter here and there, and above all, a great desire to toast together to 2026. The atmosphere immediately felt right: warm, classy, and at the same time wonderfully relaxed.

During the reception and the dinner buffet, this atmosphere was further enhanced by live music from four violinists. From the stage, they performed contemporary covers on the violin, super stylish and fully in line with the theme. Thanks to Het Strijkkwartet for the musical entertainment of the evening. After dinner, the pace picked up and the dance party kicked off with a DJ. Some colleagues went all out on the dance floor.

Party with all colleagues

As House of Software Companies, we were particularly pleased to see so many faces together, across teams and companies. The company directors were also present, including those from TilroyContractifyBridg, Praclox (Bridg), TrikkerUnited Codes, Qobee and Retail. That really completed the event: one group, one evening, a strong start to the year.

A touch of velvet

What made this edition especially enjoyable: how enthusiastically everyone embraced the theme. 'A touch of velvet' was subtle for some, all-in for others, and the masks immediately provided conversation starters at every table.

And of course, the 'designated drivers' were also thought of: with an alcohol-free aperitif and mocktails that were anything but the 'safe option'.

Big thanks to everyone who was there and contributed to the atmosphere. Moments like these are priceless for making connections and starting the year with fresh energy.
