- What does a typical working day look like?
My workday always starts with a cup of tea and checking my emails. Depending on the schedule, I work at clients' sites, in the office, or at home. My tasks vary from data conversions, internal or external projects, change requests (RFCs), database adjustments to supporting our finance and purchase to pay software. One day a week, I also support the Anchr Service Desk.
Fun fact? When I work from home, I occasionally play Rocket League with friends during lunch. There’s a bit of a gamer in me, I must admit. When I'm in the office? I like to go to Jumbo with colleagues and we enjoy eating together. I'm also a fan of cycling to and from work. A healthy mind in a healthy body 😉.
- How do you prefer to collaborate?
I prefer working in small teams so that everyone remains effective. Within projects, I act as a link between technical colleagues and clients. We regularly schedule short meetings to monitor progress and discuss questions. For optimal collaboration, we use Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, where each client has their own workspace to easily share files.
- How do you handle challenges?
Tight deadlines are often inevitable, but with good planning, I keep a clear overview. If time is short, we can often adjust the schedule. This prevents stress and ensures an efficient working method.
- What makes you happy?
A successful implementation after months of work brings great satisfaction, especially when clients are enthusiastic about the change. Additionally, I enjoy the many staff outings organised by Anchr's ‘House of Fun’. Regular activities are organised, such as lunches, an evening of paintball, escape rooms, ... This really boosts team spirit!
- What opportunities do you see?
I am taking on more responsibility in the reporting project, where we develop management reports and support clients with Power BI. This offers growth opportunities for both clients and Anchr.
- What is your best moment at Anchr?
The go-live of one of our clients, Lentis, was a highlight. After six months filled with challenges, we successfully completed the implementation with a strong team.
Why did you choose Anchr? The pleasant working atmosphere and the strong training plan attracted me. Anchr was my first employer after my higher vocational education and provided the guidance I was looking for. Even now, Anchr continues to invest in my development, which is great.
- Why is Anchr an interesting place to work?
Anchr values its employees, encourages growth, and offers a hybrid working model. We receive a company car and excellent secondary employment benefits. A great example of the freedom at Anchr: in 2023, I took four months off for a trip through Southeast Asia. This says everything about how Anchr values its employees and provides the necessary freedom. I'm also going on a year-long trip around the world, and Anchr has been flexible about it. Fantastic!
